Berlin, Germany, 24 March 2021 — Elucidate, the financial crime risk scoring platform and creator of the BaFin/ESMA-regulated Elucidate FinCrime Index (EFI), has been awarded the ISO 27001:2013 certification after meeting the requirements for establishing, implementing, and maintaining an information security management system (ISMS) as required by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Elucidate has been awarded the certification for operating an ISMS which complies with all the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2013, covering systems, policies and processes, technology and human resources. This means that Elucidate has successfully built an ISMS framework that is capable of managing and protecting information assets and systems for safety and security.

The ISO 27001:2013 includes reviewing of all information systems, policies, procedures, processes and controls; mapping risks and establishing measures to mitigate or eliminate them; identifying all internal and external stakeholders relevant to the ISMS as well as communicate the ISMS policy to the entire personnel and ensure adherence; securing the commitment of top management; establishing a framework to manage legal and regulatory requirements.
This certification highlights and confirms Elucidate’s commitment to ensure client data are handled with the utmost care and in compliance with the highest security standards.

In order to support all the ISO 27001 certification, Elucidate has built an internal team fully dedicated to privacy and security with CTO Garcia and Iole Neviani, Legal Counsel, becoming Certified ISO 27001 ISMS Lead Implementers.
Elucidate attains the certification following their recent financing round and as they expand market coverage of the EFI to 100% of the market including banks, non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs), VASPs and fintechs .
